The Director-General of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Fernando Arias, will make a working visit to Algiers on Tuesday, at the invitation of Foreign Minister Abdelkader Messahel, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a press release on Sunday.
This visit will be an opportunity to “assess cooperation between Algeria and this Organization, as well as to examine ways and means of consolidating and strengthening it,” the same source stated.
During his stay in Algiers, Arias will hold “a working session with members of the Interministerial Committee responsible for the implementation of the International Convention on Chemical Weapons and will visit the National Institute of Forensic Science and Criminology of the National Gendarmerie,” the press release concluded.
